Countdowns

Countdowns are a way for models to automatically track how many tokens they have been tipped publicly in their chat room.

Note: After starting a countdown, models need to put a Topic Variable (explained below) in their topic, otherwise members will not see the countdown happening.

Topic Variables

When a countdown is active, the model needs to use certain variables in her topic to make her topic update dynamically.

  • @remain : The number of tokens left in the countdown. (Most models only use this variable)
  • @total  : The number of tokens total for this countdown.
  • @sofar  : The number of tokens earned so far in this countdown.

For example:

Topic: "@total countdown, @sofar earned, @remain left until show!"
Will show up to the room as: "1000 countdown, 200 earned, 800 left until the show!"

  • When a countdown finishes, the @remain will just stop at 0.
  • When a countdown is not active, all of the variables above will show up as "[none]".
  • There are no automatic notifications of the countdown in the room. The Topic Variables are the only way to share the countdown with members.

What Counts for a Countdown

By default, only Tips shown to the chat room count toward the countdown, even anonymous tips.

Tips that are hidden from the chat room, and only shown to the model, do not count toward the countdown.

Making Tips NOT count toward a Countdown

  • nocount : If a member writes "nocount" somewhere in his tip notes, then the tip will NOT count toward the countdown.

Other Topic Variables

  • @rank : Your current Miss MFC rank if you are in the Top 1000. (e.g. "124")
    • Use #@rank for #124
  • @rankth  : The ordinal number of your current Miss MFC rank. (e.g. "124th" or "121st")
