Webcams
Any new modern webcam should work well with the MyFreeCams Model Software.
These webcams are our favorites:
- Logitech C910
- Logitech 9000
- Logitech Quickcam Orbit AF
- Microsoft LifeCam Studio
Video Cameras
To get the best possible video, some models use a video camera with a video capture card (also known as a TV Tuner Card) instead of a normal webcam.
This allows models to use all of the features that come with video cameras including a remote control, high definition video, zooming, and so on.
Here are some links about using your video camera as a webcam:

Recommended setup
Get a video camera and connect it to your computer using one of the following recommended capture devices.
You can also go to Google or Amazon.com and search for "USB Video Capture Card" to find more options.
These above allow your video camera to be connected to your computer's USB drive, just as you would connect a webcam.
After installing all of the software and drivers, you should be able to select your Flash Webcam Source in the MyFreeCams Model Software to be your video capture card and video camera.
Lighting
The most important part of looking good on camera, and having a good quality picture with vibrant colors, is actually not the type of webcam you use but the Lighting.
Please see our article on good Lighting.
